Nathan Drake is one Bad Mama Jama
Christmas has come early for Playstation 4 owners. I have always been a huge fan of the Uncharted series. Nathan Drake has resonated with me as the modern equivalent of Indiana Jones. The storytelling ability of Naughty Dog is unsurpassed by few within the AAA game industry. The amount of depth as it relates to the mechanics of the games is in a league of its own. Naughty Dog has truly created something magical with this franchise.
November saw the release of the Nathan Drake Collection, allowing for Playstation 4 owners to play the entire PS3 trilogy in all of its HD glory. While the collection was a nostalgic treat, it can’t hold a candle to the marvelous glory that is Uncharted 4. Naughty Dog has always raised the bar, both visually and in terms of the story. They have done it again. Visually, there is nothing like Uncharted 4. When playing this title, you feel as though you are interacting with a movie, it’s friggin gorgeous.
The mechanics of the game are also phenomenal. The combat system has been redesigned to challenge the user and provide a rewarding experience. The environment interactivity also required recognition. Damn near everything plays into the experience and the story. If your wife is only buying you one game for Christmas, make sure it’s Uncharted 4.
